Setting the Stage for Sustainable Consumption
We have heard about the necessity to change our consumption patterns towards sustainability. But, what does it actually mean to consume sustainably? Are there already some options that can trigger the transformation for sufficient lifestyles? If yes, what does this imply for ourselves and the society we live in? These are some of the questions that the 2012 edition of the Freiburg Forum on Environmental Governance is seeking to address.

Scientific Theatre
A theatre based scientific discussion will be at the core of the 2012 Freiburg Forum on Environmental Governance "Setting the Stage for Sustainable Consumption". The Scientific Theatre will introduce and open for discussion the topic of sustainable consumption.

Documentary
The MEG 6 students together with Philip Waldecker are producing a documentary that focuses on the topic of sustainable living. Throughout the documentary, the question of the feasibility of an environmental impact that is close to zero is tackled.
The Four Week Experiment
Five MEG students have entered the challenge of lowering their environmental impact for a month. They have gone vegetarian, eaten locally and even produced their own soap. Their experience was documented in a blog and is going to be part of a documentary.
