Documentation of the 2012 Freiburg Forum on Environmental Governance
On Friday 2nd March, the MEG program was pleased to present the 5th installment of the Freiburg Forum on Environmental Governance, Setting the Stage for Sustainable Consumption. The highly successful event was presented to an audience of more than 200, who remained enthralled throughout.
The event opened with a short skit by the theatre group entitled "Look at this Earth", followed by welcoming and introductory speeches that truly kicked-off the event.
The event showcased more than a year of dedication by the MEG students and proceeded with the premiere of the highly anticipated documentary "SustainAbility: An Experiment", the culmination of the Four Week Experiment.
The student organizers of the 2012 Freiburg Forum on Environmental Governance presented and distributed their Freiburg Sustainable Consumption Guide, a comprehensive booklet about the green consumption alternatives in Freiburg.
The keynote speakers, Dr. Rainer Griesshammer, Sylvia Lorek and Peter Volz supplemented the vignettes of the scientific theatre examining different dimensions of sustainable consumption. Together, the scientific theatre and the speeches provided the ground for lively discussions with the audience.
